The event uses hard cups—how does that work?
At Soenda Presents, all drinks are served in reusable cups or provided in plastic bottles/cans. How does it work? Pay 0.5 coins for your first cup or plastic bottle. When your cup or bottle is empty, return it to the bar when you get a new drink. There, your cup or plastic bottle will be exchanged for a new cup or plastic bottle free of charge. Tired of the cup? Then you can temporarily exchange it for a cup token at the bars. If you want another drink, you can exchange your cup token for a cup or plastic bottle, so you don’t have to pay again.
Why are hard cups being used?
Several studies show that the use of hard cups contributes significantly to a sustainable festival. The use of hard cups saves more than two million disposable cups/bottles per year for our organisation alone.
Can I keep my cup?
Yes, you can, but a cup only becomes sustainable if we can use it again at the next festival. Are you leaving? Then hand in your cup at the bar. With the cup token you receive in return, you can win great prizes!
I have a cup token—what can I do with it?
You can win great prizes with the cup coin. Two days after the festival ends, we will post the numbers of the winning cup coins in the Facebook event, so you will know if you have won a prize.

Can I bring the battery of my e-bike inside to store it safely?

You always have the option of choosing someone of your own gender to conduct the search. Please stand in the appropriate queue for this. If you prefer not to be searched, we regret that we cannot admit you to the festival grounds.
For partying:
Be careful not to take any valuables with you and/or leave them in your car, and watch out for pickpockets. Follow the instructions of our security staff at all times. In the event of an unusual situation, send a text message to those at home to let them know that you are okay.
Sexual harassment:
Sexual violence or sexual harassment will not be tolerated in any way at Soenda Presents. If you are harassed or feel threatened, please report this to the organisation. You can do this to any security or first aid staff member. They will assist you and contact a manager within the organisation who can help you further. All security staff have undergone training and know how to respond. Female security staff are also present. First aid experts are on hand to assist you. You can also report incidents online. Please email info@elevation-events.com (this is not monitored permanently). In the event of inappropriate behaviour, you can of course also report it to the police. The organisation can assist you with this if you wish. All reports will, of course, be treated confidentially. More general information about medical and psychological advice and how to report an incident can be found at www.centrumsexueelgeweld.nl.
Use of alcohol and drugs:
It is well known that there are risks associated with the use of alcohol and/or drugs. However, be extra vigilant when consuming alcohol and drugs at temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius. Alcohol and/or drugs increase body temperature, so if you dance for a long time and do not drink enough, the risk of overheating increases. Drink sufficient water, but not too much: a maximum of one to two glasses per hour. Drinking too much in a short period of time can lead to water intoxication. When someone dies, it is usually due to overheating or water intoxication as a result of alcohol and/or drug use. So be careful and cool down every now and then. Look out for each other and don’t abandon anyone. Test your drugs before you go to the festival, as this is not possible at the festival itself. For more information and health risks, visit www.drugsenuitgaan.nl and www.unity.nl.
Hearing protection:
Soenda Presents supports the I Love my Ears campaign because we believe it is important that you can enjoy good music not only now, but also in twenty years’ time. So take good care of your ears. At www.ilovemyears.nl you will find a number of useful and easy tips on how to protect your ears as well as possible while still enjoying the music. Earplugs are available at all bars at Soenda Presents.
Medical assistance:
If you or one of your friends is not feeling well, go to the first aid station. There are expert first aiders there who can help you. Do not be afraid to tell them about your use of alcohol and drugs: the more clearly you explain what is wrong, the better they can help you. Feel free to speak openly, because medical confidentiality applies here too and we will not report you to the police.
After partying?
Forced and unsafe sex is more common when people are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Respect each other and visit www.sense.info/soas for more information about safe sex. In addition, alcohol and/or drug use can lead to reduced concentration and slower reaction times, putting you and other road users at risk. Therefore, stop in good time and adjust your means of transport accordingly. Before going to sleep, drink water or isotonic drinks to restore your fluid balance.

What is (event name)?
Soenda Presents is an electronic orientated music event with local, regional and national appeal, which is visited by approximately 1.800 people from 18 years and older.
Visitors come to the event for the performances of national and international artists. Next to the various performances there’s also room for food trucks with delicious food, and there are spectacular decors and lightshows to be seen.
Where does (event name) take place?
Soenda Presents takes place at De Gietijzer in Utrecht. This is an indoor event venue where various types of events are organised, such as conferences, sporting events and music festivals.
When does (event name) take place?
Soenda Presents will take place on Friday 26 (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.), Saturday 27 (4 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.) and Wednesday 31 December (12.30 a.m. to 7 a.m.) 2025.
Who organizes (event name)?
Soenda Presents is organised by Soenda Indoor BV, which is part of Elevation Events. The Utrecht-based organisation was founded in 2009. The organisation is involved in developing and organising festivals: from concept to realisation. With its creative and innovative concepts, the self-producing organisation contributes to an appealing festival calendar for young adults in Utrecht and the surrounding area.
How do visitors get to (event name)?
Visitors arrive at the festival in various ways. Through the website and social media, visitors are advised and encouraged to travel to the festival by bicycle or public transport. A large proportion of visitors come from the immediate vicinity, for which a separate bicycle parking facility has been set up.
On which days/times is sound allowed to be produced?
Noise may be produced on Friday 26 December (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.), Saturday 27 December (4 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.) and Wednesday 31 December (12.30 a.m. to 7 a.m.). Prior to the festival, noise may be produced on Friday 26 December between 16:00 and 23:00 (maximum 2 hours) for the purpose of soundchecking. On Saturday 27 December, this is permitted between 15:00 and 16:00. On Wednesday 31 December, this is permitted between 23:30 and 00:00. The sound will be checked during the soundcheck.
Are there measurements and inspections regarding sound?
The agreements regarding noise standards have been established by the municipality of Utrecht. A specialised agency has been commissioned by the organisation to install various measuring points in the vicinity of the festival location. In addition, the organisation is able to carry out measurements at other locations. This equipment can be read remotely. Measuring points have also been installed on the stages so that, if necessary, the sound can be adjusted accurately. In addition to these measurements taken on the initiative of the organisation, the municipality of Utrecht also monitors the noise levels.
What does the organization do to reduce noise nuisance?
Prior to the festival, a sound engineer commissioned by the organisation draws up a sound plan. This is done so that potential noise pollution can be identified in advance and measures taken to limit it. For example, the sound is directed towards locations where the fewest people live, and advanced sound systems are used to dampen the sound at the rear of the speakers. These measures ensure that the sound is mainly directed towards the visitors and is limited as much as possible in the areas outside the festival grounds.
What if I am still bothered by noise?
At Soenda Presents, we pay a lot of attention to limiting noise pollution wherever possible. Unfortunately, there are many external factors that influence noise levels. The weather, in particular, is a factor that we as an organisation have no control over, but which can have a major impact. For example, if the wind changes direction, you may experience noise pollution later in the day even if you did not experience any earlier in the day. In addition, the cooling of the air after a hot day can cause sound to carry further. High humidity also causes sound to carry more easily, meaning that it can be heard at a greater distance from the site.
Complaints?
As an organisation, we pay a great deal of attention to limiting noise pollution. However, we cannot always prevent you from experiencing nuisance. Please note that the noise level builds up throughout the day. If you would like to contact us, please call 030-2433717 or send an email to info@elevation-events.com.
Is the waste generated by the festival cleaned up?
Yes, the organisation has an obligation to the local council and the owner of the site to leave the site in the same condition as it was found. The organisation hires a cleaning company that specialises in cleaning festival sites. Both during and after the festival, the company ensures that the site is cleaned. The cleaning service also ensures that litter along the access and exit roads to and from the site is cleaned up.
Does (event name) do anything for sustainability?
Yes, Soenda Presents and the organisation behind Soenda Presents are strongly committed to making the festival world more sustainable and ultimately creating a better, cleaner and more social world. In addition, we have created the ‘Local Legacy Programme’ to raise money from our guest list visitors, among others, through this fund. With that money, we have invested in sustainable projects in recent years. For example, last year, more than 500m2 of bee ribbon was planted in the Ruigenhoekse polder to give bees a better living environment. For more information about our sustainability policy, investments and goals achieved, please refer to the sustainability page on this website. Questions or comments regarding sustainability can be emailed to duurzaamheid@elevation-events.com.
What measures are taken regarding safety?
The organisation has its own security organisation consisting of:
• Specialists in crowd management and crowd control
• Medical care providers
• Mobility experts
• Security guards
• Fire safety advisor
The safety of the festival is guaranteed in collaboration with external parties such as the municipality of Utrecht, the police, GHOR, the fire brigade and the Utrecht safety region. The internal security organisation and external parties jointly draw up a security plan.

Are ponchos available at the event?
No, ponchos are generally not available, and we expect everyone to bring their own raincoat. This is partly for sustainability reasons.
What kind of shoes are best to wear to the event?
This mainly depends on the weather. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes suitable for dancing. High heels, flip-flops, and bare feet are not advised because the festival grounds have varied surfaces such as grass, asphalt, wooden floors, tent floors, and track plates. These surfaces do not always connect seamlessly. In heavy rain, we do our best to cover as much ground as possible with flooring, but it’s still wise to wear sturdy shoes or boots.
