Celebrate safe

For partying:

Do not bring valuable items or leave them in your car, and be cautious of pickpockets. Always follow the instructions of our security personnel. In case of an emergency, let those who stayed at home know via SMS that you are okay.

Sexual harassment:

Sexual violence or harassment is not tolerated at Soenda Presents in any form. If you are being harassed or feel threatened, report it to the organization. You can do this with any security or first aid staff. They will assist you and contact a supervisor within the organization who can further help. All security personnel are trained and know how to act. Female security personnel are also present. There are experts at first aid who can help you. You can also report incidents online by emailing info@elevation-events.com (not monitored permanently). In case of transgressive behavior, you can file a police report. The organization can assist you with this if needed. All reports will be handled confidentially. For more general information about medical and psychological advice and how to file a report, visit www.centrumsexueelgeweld.nl.

Use of alcohol and drugs:

It is known that there are risks associated with the use of alcohol and/or drugs. However, be extra cautious when using alcohol and drugs in temperatures above 20 degrees. Alcohol and/or drugs raise body temperature, so if you dance for a long time and don’t drink enough, the risk of overheating increases. Drink plenty of water, but not too much: maximum 1 or 2 glasses per hour. Drinking too much in a short period can cause water intoxication. In cases where someone dies, it is usually due to overheating or water intoxication caused by alcohol and/or drug use. So, be careful and cool off occasionally. Look out for each other and don’t leave anyone behind. Test your drugs before coming to the event, as this cannot be done on-site. For more information on health risks, visit www.drugsenuitgaan.nl and www.unity.nl.

Hearing protection:

Soenda Presents supports the I Love my Ears campaign because we believe it’s important that you can enjoy good music now and in the future, even twenty years from now. Take care of your ears. Visit www.ilovemyears.nl for helpful and easy tips on how to protect your ears while still enjoying the music. Earplugs are available at all bars at Soenda Presents.

Medical assistance:

If you or one of your friends are feeling unwell, go to the first aid station. There are expert medical staff available to assist you. Don’t hesitate to tell them about alcohol and drug use: the more you communicate about what’s happening, the better they can help you. Feel free, as medical confidentiality applies here, and no police reports will be made.

After the party:

Forced and unsafe sex is more common when under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Respect each other and for more information on safe sex, visit www.sense.info/soas. Additionally, alcohol and/or drug use can lead to reduced concentration and slower reaction times, making you a danger to yourself and other road users. So, stop early and adjust your mode of transport accordingly. Drink water or isotonic drinks before going to sleep to replenish your fluid balance.

Yes, Soenda Presents has a fully equipped first aid facility. Medical specialists, who typically work in hospitals, are present. The first aid station also has necessary medications and basic supplies, such as pain relievers and band-aids.

Yes, at Soenda Presents, you can temporarily use one of the rooms at the first aid station to pump breast milk. You can simply check in at the first aid station; there's no need to inform us beforehand. Once your cup or bottle is empty, return it to the bar when you get a new drink. Your cup or bottle will be exchanged for a new one at no extra cost. After you finish your cup, you can temporarily exchange it for a cup token at the bars. When you want a new drink, you can exchange your cup token for a new cup or bottle, and you won’t need to pay again.

Why are Hardcups used?

Multiple studies show that using hard cups significantly contributes to a more sustainable event. Just for our organization, the use of hard cups saves over two million disposable cups/bottles annually.

Can I keep my cup?

Yes, you can keep it, but a cup becomes sustainable only if we use it again at the next festival. If you're leaving, please return your cup at the bar. You’ll get a cup token in return, which gives you a chance to win great prizes!

I have a cup token, what can I do with it?

Your cup token gives you a chance to win great prizes! The Monday after the festival, we’ll post the winning token numbers in the Facebook event. That’s how you’ll know if you’ve won.

Prior to the event, a sound engineer prepares a sound management plan to identify and limit potential noise disturbance. In addition, we have launched the Local Legacy Program, a fund through which we raise money from, among others, our guest list attendees. Over the past years, the collected funds have been invested in sustainable projects. For example, last year we planted over 500 square meters of wildflower strips in the Ruigenhoekse Polder, to help create a better living environment for bees.
